My older cat developed pica and started eating her litter, which was a clay version, like crazy. My vet suggested I try paper litter. So I decided to try the softer, unscented, lump-free version of yesterday's news sand. I sprinkled some of your old sand onto this new sand. I also kept his old litter. I don't brush right away because I want to make sure it soaks up all the urine. Once you see swollen grains, you can clean them. I take a closed shovel and pick it up. Then I wipe the underside clean with a damp paper towel. There is absolutely no garbage tracking throughout the house. You may see a pellet or two when the cat comes out, but that's about it. There is no smell. Even night urine is odorless. The pica problem was medically resolved, but I don't go back to the previous litter. Remember that you can find the place to urinate by looking for swollen granules.… further

The kittens didn't like this stuff and it got heavy when it got wet. The kittens didn't like moving around wet pellets and as a result they avoided the litter box and climbed out of the box until I placed confetti with the pelleted litter. Probably a great litter for adults but not for kittens and certainly not kittens with diarrhea.… further

Great junk, love the lighter bags.

I need these smaller bags because I have trouble lifting the larger bags. Will they put these bags back?

choice of breeder

Preferred by breeders to reduce the risk of clay bedding that can cause intestinal and colon blockages from grooming.

Works perfectly after surgery
VonNinjasIn23. May 2022 top500
Our cat had paw surgery and since we normally use a no-scoop automatic litter box with Crystal litter, we had to temporarily use yesterday's messages while she heals. This stuff is nice to have on hand and I love that it doesn't make a mess like regular junk.

Experiments in the garbage
VonTambyIn18. May 2022
I was interested in other products like pine sand so I bought this as an alternative. I can't say I would recommend it; gets dirty quickly and smells quickly. Seemed like having to change the bin every few weeks to keep the smell to a minimum, so it was just higher maintenance. As with the pine, the instant removal of the droppings keeps the odor down, but I can't say I would buy this again.

A great option for cats with compromised health.
Vonhot-blooded furnitureIn16. May 2022
My group (3 cats, two are littermates, actually twins) all have unusual health issues. Two have chronic rhinitis and the twins are prone to bladder stones that have had to be surgically removed. They are all fed prescription diets and I've tried numerous junk options. This (and the "clumping" version) can only be my "salvation". Pros: 1.) Seems to be acceptable for all cats as long as "softer" and "clumping" versions are offered. 2.) Hopefully eliminates stone formation, claims to have "just" guar gum and one other "natural" ingredient along with paper 3.) Seems to minimize nasal/eye discharge 4.) Minimal aftercare and no powder yet 5.) Less expensive My group (3 cats, two are littermates, actually twins) all have unusual health issues. Dark gray in color, so it's virtually impossible to easily see where cats have used it to scoop efficiently. 2.) The "clumping" version doesn't actually clump, but the texture is acceptable for cats who dislike granulated litter and can be easily replaced like any other non-clumping litter. for cats anyway. (I'm only allowed to use unscented litter so I can't tell if the scented option would be any different in this category)… further

great for my rabbit
VonJennyIn6. May 2022
I've been using this litter for my rabbit for about two years and I love it. It keeps odors away, is easy to clean and my rabbit seems comfortable using his litter box. I would recommend it to anyone using a litter box with their rabbit.

THE BEST THROW EVER!!
VonRegenIn1. May 2022
I will never go back to a heavy, dusty sand arena. This litter is the best I've ever used. I like that it reduces odors and you don't smell like urine. It is very easy to take out. I clean my cat's crate every day, it's so much easier to deal with this litter.
